Gabriel S. Sanchez has been licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan since 2007. A graduate of Grand Valley State University (B.S., Sociology, Political Science, and Philosophy) and DePaul University College of Law (J.D.) in Chicago, Gabriel worked as a post-graduate faculty fellow at DePaul from 2007-12. In addition to teaching courses on international aviation and trade law, Gabriel is the co-author of The Principles and Practice of International Aviation Law (Cambridge University Press 2014) and has been published in the Harvard Environmental Law Review, Boston University International Law Journal, Catholic University Law Review, Georgetown Journal of International Law, and Virginia Journal of International Law.
After relocating from Chicago to his native city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gabriel shifted his focus from commercial law to advocate on behalf of Michigan consumers and tenants. Moreover, Gabriel also handles juvenile defense and abuse-and-neglect cases in several counties around West Michigan. He has litigated cases in district and circuit courts throughout the state of Michigan, as well as pursuing claims in the federal courts for the Western and Eastern districts of Michigan.
When not practicing law, Gabriel enjoys spending time with his four sons, reading the mountain of books he has piled up around his home, and pursuing a number of popular and scholarly writing projects.
